Producciones RTI and Pomodoro Stories today announce a first look and development deal, wherein Pomodoro will provide PRTI with scripted formats from around the world to feed PRTI’s multi-year production commitments with Televisa and RCN.
This collaboration will pair PRTI’s extensive development & production capabilities with Pomodoro’s worldwide reach in scripted formats. In addition, Pomodoro will be able to offer worldwide distribution through its partner Beta Film, as well as potential co-financing and co-production of selected productions that grow out of this venture.
Hugo Leon Ferrer, SVP of Development for PRTI commented that while the content focus will be on telenovelas, the deal encompasses all scripted fiction genres in Spanish worldwide, including dramatic and comedy series, mini-series and TV movies.
To cement this newly founded alliance, Pomodoro Stories will immediately relocate adjacent to PRTI’s offices.
Patricio Wills, President of PRTI and Brendan Fitzgerald, Managing Director for Pomodoro Stories have collaborated in the past, most notably on the highly successful telenovelas “Zorro, La Espada y La Rosa” and “Doña Barbara”.

This Development Deal is an important step for PRTI in gaining access to new formats with worldwide success, which will be adapted in Spanish language television.
